Building Equality Through Compassion, Advocacy and Action in Sheffield.

Equal Communities is a grassroots Charity based in South Sheffield that supports people who often feel excluded from

mainstream services, particularly those from South Asian, migrant, refugee and other marginalised communities.

Our focus is on helping individuals overcome barriers such as

unemployment, social isolation, poor mental health and inequality so they can build more stable, independent lives.

We do this through community-led support and integration

including one-to-one advice, wellbeing activities, skills training and employment programmes. A big part of our work is helping people move into and sustain work while also improving confidence,

mental health and a sense of belonging.

Many of the people we support face multiple challenges such as language barriers, trauma or poverty. We provide culturally

appropriate, trauma-informed support to help them access

opportunities and thrive

We are based at the St Mary's Community Centre on Bramall Lane: Feel free to drop in, call or email every day between 9AM and 5PM
